Let The Music Play

START TO FINISH FOR LET THE  MUSIC PLAY

The VIP Thoroughbreds managed, Let The Music Play, showed great determination and fight to take out her maiden event at Greyville on Friday night. The 3 year old daughter of Model Man led from the gun and fought off her challengers to win a fine race.

Her only challenger, Alaskan, fought hard in the straight to defeat the better travelling Let The Music Play but failed by just under a length. The rest of the runners were more than 5 lengths back in this two horse race to the wire

Let The Music Play (Brown) made the running from Manikin (Rivalland), Alaskan Isles (van Zyl) and Right Number (Phillips) with Woodland Queen (Egdes) one from last. Let The Music Play brought them in for home and came under pressure from Alaskan Isles about 300m out. It developed into a two horse race as nothing else was able to make an impression on this pair and although Alaskan Isles tried to overhaul the long-time leader, Let The Music kept finding more and held her at bay by nearly a length with Right Number plodding on for third.
