BIG GUINEAS DAY AHEAD FOR VIP AND BROWN

The Herman Brown stable, home of the majority of VIP Thoroughbred horses, are in for a big day at Greyville in Durban on Saturday as the syndicate and stable have representatives in two prestigious classic races.

Herman Brown's assistant, Frank Robinson, is expecting a nice run from his 3 guineas representatives including the crack 3 year old, The Law. By Mogok, the talented colt has reeled off a string of victories clearing his way for acceptance into the competitive event.

The second string to the VIP and Brown bow in this race, is the talented Ballito Boy. The promising juvenile has returned to his best form and looks to be a worthy contender. He also runs well at Greyville.

Brown has a runner in the Fillies Guineas as well in the form of the Fort Wood filly, Annawood. Being by Fort Wood, the filly will be challenged by the trip, a distance a touch short of her best. However, this does not mean that her class could not pull her through this event. She will have her eyes on the winning line at the business end of the event and will be a contender. She does, however, start from the widest of draws.
