Kabamba
DOUBLE FOR VIP AS THE RUN CONTINUES
The winners keep on rolling in, and this time they were received by a
delighted trainer Herman Brown, who just arrived back from Dubai.
On a one week break from his string in Dubai, Brown return to his
headquarters and duly booted home an impressive double.
The once raced 2 year old, Kabamba, was a particularly impressive. He is
young and still learning how to race but impressed by easily moving up and
winning in a canter.
Welesa (Kumaran Naidoo) was quick to break the line. Warsaw Concerto (Bosch)
and Kabamba (Brown) were showing pace. Somewhere (Bosch) and Damarca (Benton)
were further back. Lambado Beau (Kumaran Naidoo) was last by seven lengths.
Kabamba took the lead over at the 400m mark on the outside.
Kabamba was a length clear at the 200m pole and he won very easily going well
from Warsaw Concerto and Welesa who completed the placings. Kabamba is by
Sportsworld out of an Al Mufti mare, Silk Wind. Trainer: Herman Brown. Breeder:

Mr Rajesh and Mrs Priscilla Maharaj.

Jockey Lerena, who was onboard for the effort, was impressed by the run.
"He is a nice type and moved up easily to win," he mentioned post
race.
Brown also saddle There's The Light to her 3rd win in 7 starts. She is by the
top sire Jallad and loks to be going places. For the time being, she is being
nurtured through the divisions.
Pretty Partner (Phillips) was out well. Bewitching (Kumaran
Naidoo) and Flight Queen (Drier) were up there. El Romantico (Phillips) and
Intensificada (De Kock) were in behind them by five lengths. Pretty Partner was
two lengths in front as they went through the 900m zone at a strong pace. Pretty
Partner was a length clear at the 400m mark over Flight Queen and Theres The
Light (Brown) ran on well. Theres The Light hit the front at the 200m pole and
she just held on in a good finish from Laser Fan (Van Zyl) and Flight Queen.
Theres The Light is by Jallad out of a Grosvenor mare, Sonic Light. Trainer:
