The Law wins his maiden

THE LAW WINS AFTER GELDING

It has been a festive time for all VIP owners during the month of December, the stable has been in top form in South Africa.

The Law added to the christmas cheer when he won his maiden over 1400m at Greyville on Saturday night after being gelded. The Mogok gelding ran on well to win going away and more is expected from him. He had one previous start where he was placed 4th.

Le Grand Nation (Brett Crawford) was quick to respond. Ruby Of Rangoon (Drier) and Piranha Island (Puller) were with the speed. Hambile (Whitehead) and Hollaback Girl (Rivalland) were following them by five lengths. Le Grand Nation was a length clear at the 400m mark from Piranha Island. The Law (Brown) came up to hit the front at the 200m pole. The Law kept going well to win as he was very green coming off a long rest. He wants further and is one to watch. Hambile was second in front of Piranha Island.

The Law is by Mogok out of a Secret Prospector mare, Queen's Right.

Trainer: Herman Brown. Breeder: Scott Bros. Owners: Messrs F Couturier, R Plersch and James Atkinson.
