KING'S TROOP SHOWS EM A CLEAN PAIR OF HEELS

King's Troop has been in fine form of late and recorded his second victory in his last 3 starts on Tuesday at Clairwood in a Graduation Plate over his prefered 1000m trip.

The National Assembly gelding recorded his 3rd career win and looks like he can go on to win his fair share in the future.

Kings Troop (Brown) led the small field out the gates. Bright Stone (Marwing) and Sky Media (Marwing) were prominent. Gate To Freedom (Bulana) and Market Share (Lafferty) were after them by five lengths. Kings Troop had gone well clear to lead by four lengths at the 400m mark and would take a power of beating. Kings Troop was still four lengths in front at the 200m pole and he won very easily from start to finish to impress over a moderate field. Sky Media was second ahead of Bright Stone. Kings Troop is by National Assembly out of a Centenary mare, Imperial Gem. Trainer: Herman Brown. Breeder: J. Nash. Owners: Messrs R Plersch and F Couturier.

L'ORANGE LANDS THE SPOILS FOR COUTUTRIER

VIP Thoroughbred patron and long time supporter, F. Couturier, landed the spoils when his filly, L' Orange, won her first career race by a length at Clairwood on Sunday in only her second start to date. The Brandon Lerena ridden filly won over the 1200m trip in fine style.

Seychelles (Rivalland) was quick to break the line. L'Orange (Brown) and Kalarama Kate (Taylor) were showing pace. Class Above (Marwing) and Dancing Pearl (Drier) were in behind them by four lengths. Seychelles went by to pick up the lead at the 400m mark with L'Orange chasing hard. Seychelles was just the leader at the 200m pole but L'Orange put on plenty of pressure.

L'Orange won going away to record a very easy victory from Seychelles and then came Dancing Pearl in third.

L'Orange is by Rich Man's Gold out of a Model Man mare, Apparel.

Trainer: Herman Brown. Breeder: Wilgerbosdrift Stud. Owner: Mr F Couturier.

HOT RECEPTION, TOO HOT FOR RIVALS

Impressive was the word that came to mind when Hot Reception took out yet another win in her short career when she recorded victory at Clairwood on Sunday.

The VIP Thoroughbred part owned filly won in an impressive manner and fairly quick time. Her 4th win from just 11 starts makes her a feature race contender. She was also runner-up in her first three starts and looks likely to go on be a decent type of sprinter in the making.

Nottgalashia (Dixon) landed running. Classic Grace (Kumaran Naidoo) and La Mascarata (Drier) were disputing the lead. Hot Reception (Brown) and Lulu Belle (Goss) were after them. Meggan Jane (Drier) was at the back by seven lengths. Hot Reception took over the lead at the 400m mark from Nottgalashia.

Hot Reception was two lengths clear at the 200m pole and she won very easily in an impressive display. Lulu Belle was second from Nottgalashia.

Hot Reception is by Muhtafal out of a Northern Guest mare, Triple Tempo.

Trainer: Herman Brown. Breeder: Summerhill Stud. Owners: Messrs R Plersch, R Thorpe, R B Zeeman and Summerhill Stud Syndicate (Nom: Mr M J B Goss).
