TIZA NO SHOW FOR HK CHAMPION

Tiza was honestly a class below the best sprinters in the world when it came to the crunch time in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint, Grade 1.

The son of Goldkeeper was drawn wide for a start and was always on the back foot. In the end the champion Hong Kong sprinter, Sacred Kingdom screamed home to capture the big race and not many in the world would have beaten him home today.

Tiza was 8.5 lengths back but had the consolation of beating Australian champion, Miss Andretti as well as Group 1 winners Desert Lord, Why Be, and Benbaun. Second place went to last years winner, Absolute Champion with Royal Delight and Scintillation next best. It was a clean sweep for Hong Kong.

Absolute Champion turned into the home straight with a few lengths to find but smoked home like a champion when it looked like defending champions, Abolute Champion, had the race wrapped up.

Miss Andretti, for all that she was made out to be, disappointed when beating only a handful home.
