Sire sensation, Kahal, has hit the headlines
recently with big winners throughout the country. The
Summerhill Stud stallion, owned by the Rulers of
Dubai, has become the latest target for South African
breeders.
VIP THOROUGHBRED's have sent their classy mare,
Princess Sassi to Kahal. The outcome of the covering
is keenly anticipated.
Following her victory in the 2004 Darley Cape Verdi
Stakes (1600m on turf at Nad Al Sheba) Festive Style
was awarded a covering by Halling at Emirates Stud
Farm. The South African bred 6-year old has a blue
blooded bloodline being a daughter of Fort Wood (USA)
and Fanciful (ARG) by Ringaro. Fanciful won two Group
1's in South Africa. Festive Style herself reached a
HR of 100 and is full-sister to Cover Look, Group II
winner and Group I placed. Gestuet Isarland in Germany
is the chosen stud during her pregnancy and we eagerly
await the arrival of her foal early 2007.
Also at Gestuet Isarland is Zeina of Arabia, a
Capote (USA) filly out of Heavan's Echo by Woodman.
The 3 year old, handicapped at 85, was covered by
Pentire and will foal in the summer of 2007.
Woodcut, another Fort Wood bred mare and full
sister to Limerick, was covered by Val Royal in May
2006 and is enjoying an uncomplicated pregnancy in
Normandy, France.
VIP THOROUGHBRED's believes in giving their mares
the best possible opportunities and have thus
supported another rising star in the stallion ranks of
South Africa in the form of Opera King, a Scott Bros
stallion. Aylyth was covered by Opera King recently.
South African bred Moet is also resident at the
Scott Bros Stud preparing to be covered by the popular
stallion Mogok. |
